Petrin HillViews from Petrin Parks are fantastic, Petrin is very close to the center and Prague Castle.
Petrin lookout tower was built in 1891 as a part of the Jubilee Prague Exhibition.
Funicular railway to the Petrin hill was opened on 25 July 1891. It was reopened after a 20-year interruption in 1985 and was included in public transport system. More detailed information about the history of the funicular railway to Petrin here (www.dpp.cz)
The Stefanik Observatory is located in Petrinīs parks on the top of Petrin Hill. The observatory was opened in 1928, reopened (after a full-scale reconstruction) in 1976. www.observatory.cz
